FIRST LOOK: KARDASHIAN KOLLECTION FOR DOROTHY PERKINS

Hello loves! I hope your week is going well! Is it sunny and warm or is a snow storm about to hit?

A while back, upon hearing news of the Kardashians collaboration with Dorothy Perkins, I literally wanted to stick my head in a bag and spew, you may remember the post here. I was done with celebrity consumer overload, I mean these gals are everywhere and the Daily Mail give them ridiculous column inches galore, so no prizes for guessing where the info/pics came from today loves! Lol!

Anyhoos, I totally understand Sir Philip Green's wise business choice in their collaboration, since the Kardashians produced something similar with their super successful Sears line. I think all he could see were pound signs flashing for their UK fashion debut, but I still wish he would be more supportive of newcomers and graduates.

So, here it is, a first look at their 100-piece, highly anticipated Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins, available in selected stores and online from November 8th. What's your verdict??? Be honest now!

I'm surprised I actually like something here - this asymmetric hem leather jacket is quite gorge, and seems to be a bit of a bargain at £55! Is it real leather?

The girls are always spotted out in various smart jackets, something printed and fun or super sexy.

We've often seen Kim rock some serious leather pieces of late, so these legging with leather panels are very 'her' - would you wear those?

The range wouldn't be a Kardashion Kollection without an array of bodycon style dresses.

 Oooh, cute bags, the drawstring one is a tad pricey though.

So there we have it, a sneak peek at what's instore for the Kardashian Kollection at Dorothy Perkins, it's very 'them', just like the Kate Moss collection was for Topshop. There's not a lot of newness here on the creativity front, but it is high street fashion with a celebrity name tag.

Hello Tweeps, can't quite believe it's November already! Is this the month where you go into full on X-mas shopping mode? Or do you prefer lastminute.com style?
Either way, this month brings us to closer to chillier temperatures, which usually means me wearing tons of layers and chunky knits (if in the UK) or layering lots of spidery, thin knits when in Greece.
I'm afraid I don't deal with cold temperatures well and as much as I like to bundle up in chunky knits (without looking like the Michelin man, mind), I often get into the same winter staples of knitted dress, metallic knitted sweater (tres SportMax) oversized slouchy knits, bold coloured slim-fit roll neck and honeycomb chunky wrap cardi. I thought perhaps this winter I'd be a little adventurous with print and maybe even a cheeky novelty style knit.

 Being enveloped in a huge knit, this shot makes me want to crack out the knitting needles! Ha! 

Simple stylish wintertime knits can speak volumes in terms of style on their own, but a basic knit teamed with the right accessories (belts/necklaces) can turn it into a major fashion statement.
I love playing with different textures and layering up to the max, or even wearing a super chunky knit sweater with a pretty floral maxi skirt.

COLOUR SPECTRUM INSPIRATION

I always seem to find that as soon as winter arrives I delve into my pretty much all black wardrobe of tops, jeans, jumpers, boots... and if it's not black there's a heck of a lot of grey neutrals. Thing is, I absolutely love colour, but it's only the past few years that I've reached for trusty all black and now I'm craving colour again. Here's a kaleidescope of hues on my radar and it's not just the colours but the details, from ruffles, cut, silhouette, textures, prints and embellishment that I'm loving.

So I guess I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to jewel like colour just yet, I just need to incorporate them into my winter wardrobe. Do you have any go-to shades for winter?

Just a quick one to say I hope everyone on the East Coast is alright, I've been following the news and am mortified at all the images/photos that have been captured, it's just awful. Hope you're all safe.
