THE CHARMED ONES: WAXING LYRICAL ABOUT THESE BEAUTIES

On my radar for a while are these stunning wax seal pendants by the talented Jessica De Lotz, I love the vintage & nostalgic vibe of each piece. When you look at these pendants it's almost as if there's a story to tell. The mixed metals add a little je ne sais quoi, and the fact that you can layer these pieces makes it all that more special. J'adore!

SMOKIN' HOT FRIDAYS: HELENA CHRISTENSEN FOR ELLE SPAIN MAY 2013

As someone who loved the old school era of supermodels, I did get blown away by one rather smoking hot Helena Christensen, I mean WOW, she's still got it! What an ageless beauty!
I do however feel like I'm in need of a serious sunshine ridden holiday though, having seen this shoot!
This cover shoot for Elle Spain, May 2013 was shot by Xavi Gordo & styled by Inmaculada Jimenez, you can view the entire shoot here via Fashion Gone Rogue.

I kinda love that this close up hasn't really been photoshopped to death and back, she looks gorgeous!

Happy Weekend lovelies!

THE POWER OF PAPER: SAY HELLO TO DIOR-ESQUE GOWNS

Looking at this beautiful shoot, would you have guessed these outfits were made entirely out of paper?
This stunning editorial was photographed by Iban Montero, titled Limited Paper in the style of iconic photographer Richard Avedon.
These extraordinary paper creations were by stylist and designer Ane Lopez, I'm literally blown away by the sophisticated craftiness! Impossibly chic, no?
Love the sculpted hair and arched brows too!
Funnily enough, this does remind me of the days when we made toiles out of paper (one side dotted) and pinned those to mannequins, I wonder what they would have looked like on an actual person! At one point, I was also obsessed with paper-like fabric from Berwick street, only problem was, if you'd made a mistake you would see a train of holes! Oops.
Cut price couture! Just love this!

Hope you're all having a super week!

BECAUSE IT'S MONDAY...DRESSING THE BUMP

BUMP!

Making me smile, non-maternity wear that rocks!
Yes, that's right, after a wicked weekend of action, I can truly say I'm rather pleased with myself.  I've been schlepping around in jersey layers all winter in muted shades of blah, so when we finally had a sunnyish weekend I got my mama-to-be style mojo on.

NO BUMP! Tilly Floral skulls top by Boohoo.com
Tortoise shell frame glasses by firmoo.com

This top simply rocks on so many levels - i'll be able to wear it after I've had bubs,  it's jersey on the front with floral skull print on the back - so basically it's comfy and casual from the front, but p-a-r-t-y in the back! Woohoo! Oh and it's totally purse-friendly! I really haven't had the urge to splurge on maternity clothing, seriously who wants to throw money away on something you'll wear for a hort period of time? My other issue is that I've found most things to be stripes (I do love stripes, but I mean how much wider do they want us to look?), too mumsy chic or poor in fit & lacking in style...
At 33 weeks getting away with non maternity wear is tricky, the bump is massive now and it may be a little too cold still to hot foot it out in a loose column style maxi', however, they're great for throwing a chunky longline open cardi over the top, belted above the bump.

I've kept tops long and loose and if there's a tunic with an empire waist even better, like this retro printed one I scored recently by legendary Barbara Hulanicki for George. Great for emphasising bump!
Printed Barbara Hulanicki jersey dress via here. The image doesn't really much justice i'm afraid!

Other stylish ladies with bumps!
The look on the left is pure fashion week fabulousness, I don't think i'd last that long in heels, but she looks super wow! Love Nicoles look, I'm looking forward to putting my printed kimono tops to use when it's much warmer!
Is this not the cutest LBD ever? Also loving the casual jeans and tee look with a fur gilet.

Have a happy Monday & sparkly week!

SPRING HOTNESS: ALDO DOES FABULOUSNESS

Hello loves! Brrrrrr, I just cannot get over the fact we had a major blizzard going down in London today and everywhere else across the UK is totally freezing, not quite the Spring I had in mind. Although it's not quite the weekend, I just had to share some Friday Fabulousness with you now! I recently checked out Canadian shoe & accessory giant Aldo's flagship store on Oxford street and it was just filled with so many gorgeous, gorgeous things & frankly brimming with fabulousness. I could not help but pick things up (mainly high heels) but had to some things back down again, remembering that I wouldn't be able to strut my stuff being pregnant with my current swollen-ish tooties and all.
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure anything here would be brilliant for updating your Spring wardrobe, this seasons collection has everything from super hip & casual to chic & sophisticated statement wows.
I love everything about these T-bar wedges, they just scream summer darlings! Reva Wedge £65
There are loads of fun cut out wedge heels from Aldo, so go crazy.
Perfect for keeping you protected from the sun
Stylish and bold coloured satchels are a sure way to get you noticed!
I'm in love! Love this spacious, studded number - this was one of the pieces I couldn't put down and had to have! Folortan £50 - also in nude/peach
Hello Cinderella, these glass like heels are super chic for the office or dressing up jeans! Darelbeida £85
My ultimate must-have statement heels - these leather snakeskin mix heels are just smoking hot! I love this collaboration with Preen for LFW - Musilova £125
Not donning heels, the metal toe cap flats are the way forward for looking sharp (although there are pumps version) I'd never say no to metallic - Bozena £45
Checks & stripes were huge on the Spring/Summer catwalks, love this super fun monochrome bag (there's more in this range) - Adelaide £55
Stepping back in time: Ankle strap checked heels - Wieslaw £85
Oh I remember when Posh pitched a ball wearing wedge trainers/hi-tops. Aldo have come out on top with a truly amazing range for spring - from plain leather, suede mix to studded velcro styles, choosing just one pair will be hard I tell you.
Totes Amazing!
Gorgeous bling is something else Aldo have done well, boasting multi chain statement necklaces to delicate gold chains with cute pendants. I love this necklace above but it wasn't in stock at the time - Bilecika £20

Sigh, me wants it all to be honest!
Have a super weekend!
