Here's looking at you, Zeta!

Well, hey there folks! It's been a long time.... I apologize for being an absentee blogger, if not a bad, bad blogger...

I don't usually watch 'Dancing with the stars', be it the UK (Strickly come Dancing), US or Greek version, but last night was the finale for the Greek 'Dancing with the Stars', after 13 weeks... I had to see who won - kinda important and more importantly, What Zeta wore!
I caught the last hour of what has clearly been an amazing style transformation for the presenter (and actress), Zeta Makripoulia. With every episode, Zeta showed off a multitude of looks, with super styled hair and make up to match. Last year I mentioned Ms. M was one to watch in the styles stakes (in Greece), well she sure hasn't failed to disappoint in 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Check out Zeta's looks!

I heard there was inspiration (mainly hair and make up) taken from various sources, see if you can spot a few here. Helen of Troy, Marlene Dietrich, Barbie, Veronica Lake & Farrah Fawcett... Ok, now i'm making some of this stuff up! Which of these are you loving?

I'm sure some of you are loving this nude coloured ensemble in the middle here, no? I had no idea until I saw another snap, that it was a full on skin-tight jumpsuit number!

I think Giorgos Segredakis (popular stylist to the stars) played stylist here, which meant that there was a wardrobe chock full of lush names, from Raxevksy (whom Ms. M is the face of), D2quared, Louboutin, Casadei shoes, Dolce & Gabbana, YSL, Kessaris (Jewellery) and Azzadine Alaia.
I am loving Zeta's Grecian Goddess look in the centre image below...oh and of course Old Hollywood Glamour above... the hair just rocks.

I am also totally flabbergasted by the awesome talented duo, Giannis Marketakis (Make up maestro) and Vasilis Bouloutasi (Hair stylist extraordinaire) who created these looks on Zeta.

I wonder what's next for Ms. M? That's all folks! I'll be seeing you soon!
Ciao Bellissime

Friday Best 110610

Question: I gotta ask, who are the amazing hair and make-up duo that work their magic on Zeta Makripoulia of 'Dancing with the Stars, Greece'? Do you know who styles her?

Each week she rocks a different kinda look and she looks every inch a starlet. Check out some of the different looks below and the anonymous guys who do their creative thang-do any of you know who they are? They are seriously awesome!

Every since I came over to Greece I have long admired the talent of Hair and Make-up artists - all the TV presenters here look fabulous and the glossies have slick made-up spreads!

If you don't already know about the Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB)or haven't signed up yet and have a Fashion Blog - do it now!
I was recently left a comment from Cara@IFB - promptly reminding me of their fabulous existence and what they do, see here for more info.

I don't nearly write enough about fashion though, it's not intentional... but having had some interesting experiences over the past 11 years in this industry, I could share some industry info with you
all (from Buying, Styling, Visual Merchandising, Public Relations etc etc) if you're interested in getting a career in fashion.

I'm not sure how it all works here in Greece though, my experience is purely based on a semi typical route into fashion in the UK... So drop me a comment if you'd like to see the odd post about the world that is fashion!

Ciao Bella & Have a fab weekend!

Greek style icon in the making?

One of the most popular Greek actresses impressed me on Sunday with a puff sleeve (note that no two sleeve styles are the same) cleavage flaunting LBD. Zeta Makripoulia's sunny personality shone through her satin number whilst presenting Dancing with the stars-Greece, and her sky scraper shoe boots took centre stage - they were awesome! Sadly i didn't manage to capture a piccie in time... Zeta already has a fashion campaign with Raxevsky SS10 appearing in their catalogue - it's a bit cheesy, but i think she'd look great styled in high end fashion.

Cool LBD or what?
