Kate Moss, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot collaborations

Kate Moss looking gorgeous for British Vogue June 2012 by the dream team, Mert & Marcus

Well hello luvvies! Do you ever wake up wondering where the past month went? I've been rushing about so much the past few weeks that I've only recently realised how summer has literally arrived in Athens in a big, gigantic el scorchio kind of way and I am yet to fully enjoy it.

I know I know, you're probably bored of seeing Kate Moss everywhere or that same look/pout that she pulls, but I do think she looks rather spectacular in the images i've seen so far for the June issue of British Vogue. Yup, I went kinda gooey at the sight of the old Hollywood glam style.
This will be Mossy's 32nd Vogue Cover  & she's graced one every year for British Vogue since 1993! It's not the first time that Kate has been shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot, their collaborations go way back... Let's take a trip down memory lane and see Moss do her thang & these guys show off their signature shooting & post production style.

Catching Up with Kate

Kate by Sølve Sundsbø for Vogue Russia Sept 2009 Full shoot via here

How's your weekend treating you lovelies? I kinda want to dive back under the duvet covers and sleep a little while longer, but the sun has popped out so perhaps Mr. Perseus and I might take a short spin on his little Vintage Monkey Bike (Honda)...
For now, why don't we take a trip down memory lane and check out some of Kate's many changing faces... I love these editorials...

I've read and seen many a magazines, but never saw this shoot featuring Kate shot by the marvelous Marcus Piggot and Mert Alas. Numéro #23 May 2001

I remember when this came out and I was highly influences by her choppy fringed bob... this was such a gorgeous, vampy shoot shot by Emma Summerton, Nov 2007 Full shoot via here

I loved this shoot by Mario Sorrenti... Firstly, I feel like I'm on holiday looking these pics and the colours-wow, the outfits-wow and the hair and make-up, stunning! Vogue Paris 2010

This has to be Kates most racy shoot ever, by Nick Knight for Vogue Italia Kate's make up is pretty dramatic and she's barely recognisable at first with her brunette wig.

W for Wow and Who's that Girl?

Seriously, WOW! I did a double take at the headlines when I saw these images shot by the marvelous duo, Mert & Marcus for W Magazine. Yes, it really is Twilight star Kristen Stewart looking rather Glam might I say.
I'm so used to seeing Kristen looking super grungy, moody and even awkward on the red carpet, that this editorial came as a real surprise. I can't quite place who she reminds me of either in this shoot. Answers on a postcard please folks!

Ms. Stweart in Gucci chiffon gown
Useful piece of beauty info via W: "Stewart gets sultry bedroom eyes with Clé de Peau" Intensifying Cream Eyeliner. “A modern take on this look is keeping the eye makeup intense, but in a clean and not smudgy way,” says makeup artist Lucia Pieroni.

I must say, interesting choice for a cover shoot from W mag though, since K-Stew isn't exactly known for being fashion forward, but I do love a surprising & fabulous transformation.

Friday is upon us lovelies, I hope you all have some awesome plans! Have a good weekend!

Happy (Halloween) Weekend!

I cannot believe how quickly this week has flown by! I know most of you are getting prepared for the festivities that is Halloween this weekend, I hope you all have an amazing time and I can't wait to see all your photos.

Halloween isn't really a big deal over and I guess I'll miss getting dressed up and scaring off kids! (Without my make up on ought do the trick!)

My slightly subtle take on creepy-fied nails using Barry M Nail Effects!

What are you all upto this weekend? Recovering from Athens Xclusive Designer Week? Relaxing? Having a bake fest? Or catching up with your favourite reads? I must mention a brilliant (-intellectually stimulating, refreshing & well executed post) by Vahni of Grit & Glamour on fashion-based social networking sites, you will be surprises to learn a few things for sure and not only that - these big fashion networking sites have responded here & here!
