Black & Gold: Because it's Monday...

Absolutely LOVE this set-up - lots of gold framed mirrors everywhere & zebra hide chair... What a lovely little nook it would make via here

Welcome to the new week lovelies! I hope you've all had a brilliant weekend of fun, Olympic games madness & time out for yourselves. I took this weekend to just switch off from the laptop as much as I could but caught up with lots of friends and family on the phone, I swear my ear was burning after half an hour! I also watched some of the Olympics, mainly the Womens bike race - it was awesome! I'm not usually into the biking thing, but I knew they were closing the roads I knew very well... My friends had the benefit of living so close to where the road race passed and even my folks went out in the pouring rain to support the cyclists & Silver medal winner, Lizzie Armitstead compete. It was Britains first medal, so I guess you could say we're all a little chuffed. Anyhoos, I'm having a going for gold and black moment, since it's Monday, y'know! Enjoy!

In summer I do love to use a bit of gold eyeshadow for that extra bit of sparkle & shimmer, usually in the corners of my eye set against black smoky eye makeup. Love this look? Would any of you try it?

Thought this was a really fun shoot featuring British medal hopefuls by Andy Hooper... It reminds me of the iconic scene from James Bonds 'Gold finger'... Cool no? Above Tonia Couch, Diver. Full story/images via Daily Mail

Wishing you all a super awesome week! Whatever you get upto, have a good one!

Wedding Weekend: Going to the Chapel...

One of my fave enchanting shoots featuring Valerya by Amber Gray Brides Dec 2010 via here

Hello! How's your week going loves?!
This weekend I'm off to one of my best friends wedding and I cannot tell you how beyond excited I am! It also means a little trip back across the pond, a whirlwind visit to see family & friends.

I'm going to packing whatever free minutes and hours I have to get my missed hugs, (new) gossip, stroke my pregnant friends baby bumps, swap some good reads, get hits of any kind of food that I have missed before heading off to the wedding in country, yay!

I know I'm not the only one whose heart goes all gooey & swoons at everything on 'Style Me Pretty', oooh and all those gorgeous, dreamy wedding moodboards on Pinterest, right?

I realize that time is ticking and I haven't had the chance to focus on the 'me' prep yet as I've been running around doing other things, but at least I know what dress I'm wearing. Bizarrely enough, Refinery 29 came up with this inspiration for Wedding Guest outfit, which in the colour department (mint) is similar to mine, but the dress I have is a sheath style. The final decisions on accessorizing is a working progress, since I can't decide whether to go with silver or gold hues, so I'm going to have to be a ninja in the organized department when it comes to packing after work later.
(Talk about super early pre-weekend post!)

Wishing you all a happy Fairytale weekend!

I want Cake: Gorgeous dessert table setting

isn't this just the most divine thing you ever saw?

Holy Banana's! I recently discovered Amy Atlas Events via Made By Girl (daily read), and put it this way i spent forever salivating over the serious goodness & eye candy on her website and blog. This lady is super talented and creative, check out the above dessert table setting she did for Brides Magazine amongst other table settings. I don't usually have a thing for table settings, just cake & candy love really, but the turquoise and pretty pink really got to me. Love it! You can hop over to Amy's blog to see other mouth watering goodness and behind the scenes shots via here.

Yum, Cake pops. Love the soft pink and green tones here

Hello Birdy! Love the hanging pom poms! This was actually a birthday party in Melbourne, see link here for all the other fab images!

Be warned once you click onto Amy's website or blog, you'll be there for ages - don't let your boss catch you drooling!
