Because its Monday: Good vibes & Words of Wisdom

Hello loves, I trust you all had a wonderful weekend despite some of us losing an hours beauty sleep!


I often come across words of wisdom or quotes that inspire, motivate or that I can just totally relate to & it's often when I'm lacking in the inspiration department or feeling a little bleh, that I like to re-read and go back to some of my favourite quotes (of which there are waaaay to many).

Despite all the good vibes and quotes about life, nothing else is as important as your own happiness & health.

I hope you enjoyed some of these! I'm on a bit of a quotes roll at the mo, especially since finishing Steve Jobs' autobiography, which was amazing btw and now I'm reading "The Jimmy Choo Story". I guess what I'm hinting at is that it's always good to have a little bit of constant life re-inforcement action going on. I'm going to sound a bit cheesy when I say that I love Tony Robbins acronym: CANI, what does it mean? Constant and never-ending improvement, sounds tiring just thinking about it, no? Well it's a good motivational saying you can apply to any area of life.

Fabulous Fridays


Well hey there loves, how was your week? Are you ready for the weekend? I have no idea where this past week or so went, except part of it was spent in bed and the rest playing catch up big time. 
I wouldn't mind being teleported to Paris for a weekend break though. Just how gorgeous is that image (and the frock the model's wearing) above? No idea on who the photographer is or anything, but I love the mood of this shot.
The only thing that brightened up my week aside from the glorious weather we've been having was the delivery of my asos order! Yup, these puppies were extremely bargainous at £26 from £65! Now that's what I call a score ladies!

Oh Man, I love this site, it's the place where I can totally lose myself chuckling away... There are plenty of brilliant, funny & witty cards for every occasion and just about everyone. So, have any of you been to see the Hunger Games yet?

Mullet Dress Madness: The Hi-Lo hemline

Mullet madness is more mainstream than ever and I'm not talking about the haircut. There are numerous retailers selling "hi-lo", "Mullet" hemline dresses and more & more designers (including Bridal) playing with this tail gown. I never did really get the "business in the front, party in the back"
remark, as surely the shorter front is all about the party? Oh well, someone please explain!
Not everyone approves of this trend either, only a few days ago, Hollywood stylist Lauren Messiah declares "Lose the mullet skirt – the one that’s shorter at the front and longer at the back. That was a very short-lived trend." via Marie Claire.

With wedding fever just around the corner, I've been keeping an eagle eye for something a little different, in a bold colour and a delicate, flowing fabric, however... I'm not sure this style is it. What do you think of the "mullet/hi-lo" hemline? Discuss!

Mullet dresses: Most definitely more striking in a light-weight satin, silk or sheer chiffon. Some high street number's I found perfect for summer days!

Anyhoos, I'm quite excited about the prospect of a few summer weddings, since the past 5 i've been to have been winter weddings. I'll probably get to wear my cobalt multi convertible dress at least on one occasion.

Soooo, it's Friday, I've been a little loca loca busy this week and i'll only have Sunday to rest a little... but least I'll be able to catch up with you guys.
I'm a little peeved that I've managed to catch a cold just as Fashion Week (Athens Exclusive Designers Week) is about to start tomorrow. Let's hope Lempsip works it's magic. What are your weekend plans? Whatever you do, have a fantastic time!

Totally Tickled Turquoise

Hello Bloggerati! How was your weekend? I've been on a mission to find a digital online scrapbook that does the job of both personalizing a book filled with pages featuring unlimited text and high quality photos... Sadly Smilebox has great templates (for Bridal showers) but not enough pages or ways to edit the template for images/text. I love the idea of Blurb as I have previous books made and also mypublisher, but want to do my own printing and use their templates... any suggestions?

Yes, I know, I've been banging on about my love of colour like, all.the.time and just lately, mint has been everywhere - nails, beauty, fashion... My current obsession however, lies with turquoise & teal, next to my summer faves; fuschia and cobalt. What's your current colour obsession?

Fashion & Fitness: Let's get physical!

With spring touching down, longer days and more sunshine, I've been inspired to go running again and get fitter. For me fitness and vitality are ultra important in my life, especially in keeping my health in check, so I've been doing a bit of a recce on stylish work-out gear, something I NEVER do because I'm happy living in my American Apparel (Flex fleece) sweat pants, decent sports bra and any loose fit cotton tank top. I've never really been bowled over by designer brands or rather designer collabs for sports brands or revolutionary technology in work-out gear, but there have been a few things that caught my eye lately... including a pair of leggings that claim to reduce cellulite & help reduce fat, say whaaat? (More info below).
Nike Victory Shape Sports Bra - in 8 cols $42/£22 - Love that this comes in loads of brights colours too, has racer back detail plus adjustable straps.

Ok, now for kick ass cool stuff! I love a good pair of sweats for running and a normal pair of leggings for yoga/pilates but have never tried working out in a pair that has a good hi-tech (Dri-FIT) fabric base which prevents you from over-heating or sweating like nobody's business. I came across these two amazing pair of leggings, but what's so darn special about them?

Proskins Slim Leggings aren't just any 'ole pair of shiny looking black leggings, these are made using compression fabric (for improving athletic performance & reduction of injury) that basically targets unwanted fat! That's right, this hi-tech fabric contains retinol (to smooth & improve skin), caffeine (boost circulation), aloe vera & Vitamin E woven into the fabric, therefore moisturizing your legs, and getting rid of cellulite whilst you wear them. Crazy stuff no??? I want to know if it really works! For 50 big ones, I would hope so, otherwise you've got a stylish pair of black leggings for running/working out in. As for the Stella McCartney for Adidas collection; I've always thought Stella designed beautiful, relaxed and stylish work out gear, but what about function, fit and performance? These sleek beauties are made from ClimaLite fabric, has a back zip pocket feature and inner key pocket, doesn't have fat reducing or cellulite busting properties, but what it does have is a whopping price tag - £70, ouch! You can find more budget friendly leggings via Nike/Adidas - Nike Turnover leggings £34. Are there any other brands worth me checking out?


Loving this new wide stipe tank from Adidas new Originals collection and their Trefoil logo large shopper, the perfect size for a weekend getaway or stashing your workout gear in.

There's nothing more important than decent, well-made and comfortable training shoes, so I always make sure I invest in a good pair. I've been walking loads recently and my trusty Nikes have kept me going for quite some time now. 8km per day is pretty good exercise no?

Victoria Beckham Magazine Covers 2012

This woman is either in the dark and hiding from the paps or everywhere, and right now she is everywhere! Currently fronting Madame Figaro FR, Numero Mag Tokyo and also earlier last month, I-D magazine. Love or hate her, she's a force to be reckoned with and she looks pretty good in the MF shoot by Greg Williams below. (I still wanna force feed her baklava and Greek food though, she's teeny tiny skinny)

VB's fronting not just one cover but two, ooh lala! I definitely prefer the first one... not sure about this one...

Colour Me Happy!

I don't think you can get more colour than this! Totally in the mood for colour, anything bold, and anything bright... I kinda wanna be wearing all of these hues this spring/summer! Colour is one of those things that has a major effect on mood, and for me it definitely resonates Happiness!
